Renewal By Andersen windows prices start at $900 and top out at $1200 per window with installation. They are some of the most expensive replacement windows on the market. RBA works differently than many window companies. The line is owned by Andersen, but each city or region has a locally owned franchise. Since you are technically buying from a separate company, not Andersen, the customer service, pricing, and special offers can be inconsistent.
RBA has gotten a bad reputation because of their selling tactics. Many salespeople come out to the home for an "estimate" and spend hours on a high pressure sales pitch. The price often starts out incredibly high, and they throw in discount after discount, claiming they can only give you a deal if you sign today. It is never wise to make a decision without taking the time to examine at least three detailed estimates. Not all RBA dealers operate this way, so ask questions to find someone with a good reputation. Don't be intimidated, and if a sales rep gets pushy just make them leave.

Renewal By Andersens are made from Fibrex, a composite mix of reclaimed wood and vinyl. The same material is used in the Andersen 100 Series. The windows look very good and are fully customizable. There are a lot of different features and hardware options to consider. The frame is fusion welded and has a stainless steel spacer. The performance ratings are decent but not spectacular; the U-factor is 0.30 and the SHGC is 0.34. An upgrade to the SmartSun package drops both of those numbers by 0.06.

RBA California Windows Cost Quote
Hi, can you recommend great company/installer for window replacement?
Yesterday I met a salesperson of RBA and gave a quote 95k for 30 windows for my home including 1st and 2nd floors. I shocked by the quote though understanding their high quality Firex product. Still questionable the objective performance and cost-benefit for the window. I decided to start to search what other affordable option with above average quality (insulation/durability/appearance etc) and good installing company around San Diego area.
I'm considering the budget wise $500~1000 per window. But depending on location especially at main bedroom/office, I think heat insulation would be more important for better sleep/work quality, so better quality can be installed there but other area maybe average quality would be ok. But not sure is this idea would work for the whole project ? Also if the budget-quality can't make it at one time, then I also have a plan to separate phase 1 and 2 like 2 floor main bedroom first and then next time install the rest of them.
Appreciate any recommendation for this project and list of company/product/installer.

We recently received a quote on 15 Renewal by Andersen Windows. The rep originally quoted us out at $25,500, but after some fancy wheeling and dealing he got the price down to just under $20,000. The quote was out of our price range but they do seem like nice composite windows and come with a great warranty.
