Originally called Precision Door, the company began producing windows and eventually changed their name to ProVia. They are still known mainly for doors, particularly their storm doors, but they also manufacturer some very solid vinyl, wood clad and aluminum storm windows. The company is based out of Ohio and has grown quite a bit over the past decade. Their pricing tends to be at the higher end of the vinyl window market and consumers would do well to get several bids to make sure that the bid from the ProVia rep is comparable in cost to the bid from other top vinyl window manufacturers.
ProVia Aeris WindowThe Aeris comes as either a wood interior with a vinyl cladding (the Wx1000 model) that is available in 3 wood species; cherry, oak or maple. This series in a double hung will generate a U-Factor of .28, SHGC of .26, AI of .10 and VT of .47 (very respectable numbers). The WX1000 can be ordered in 32 different interior color or stain options and 5 exterior frame colors.
ProVia Integra WindowThe Integra was their original flagship vinyl window that comes in either the 300 or the 200 series. The Integra 200 double hung (the lower end of the two models) with a low-e glass and argon fill will provide roughly a .30 U-Factor, .27 SHGC and .49 VT. Comparable to Simonton window prices. ProVia Integra CostsI'm replacing 6 36" x 72" double hung windows with tempered glass, as well as two mid sized sliders in my bedroom. Two bids so far.
ProVia Aluminum StormProVia has most of their experience in the storm door niche, so making a storm window insert wasn't a huge stretch. The line comes in either a double hung triple track, slider or picture window option. Like most storm inserts, this is a single pane unit that comes in 16 unique colors.
