Home Star Window
The company seems to me like they are more of a door company than a window manufacturer, although they make a vinyl window called the Home Star. It's a mid range vinyl window that has some nice features to it -- good spacer, nice colonial bead on the glass and a curved lift rail. Those are the positives. The window uses a pocket sill, which I don't like and uses 2x instead of 3x weatherstripping. The sales manager at Home Guard used to be with Schuco until they stopped selling retail. I think he has helped them quite a bit with their production quality.
I find their doors to be excellent quality, especially their storm doors. I've only used them a few times, but my customers were pretty happy with quality of the wrought iron doors I put in.
